As expected, reactions to the Air Max DN8 are mixed. A first look at the new 2025 Air Max model was met with equally positive and negative reviews, but it hasn’t failed to do the most important thing: grab attention.
Today, we get yet another refreshed look at the newest member of the Air Max family under the Nike DN8 tree. Featuring a near tonal British Tan upper above an all-black midsole, the Air Max DN8 shines with its ample eight-chambered cushioning unit that features varying psi levels tuned specifically for walking. The upper has drawn comparisons to many Air Max models of the late 1990s and into the 2000s, with the most obvious similarities shared with the Air Max 96.
The series of circular holes in the midsole is what many are discussing, with many valid points made in its comparison to other cushioning set-ups from competing brands such as K-SWISS and its Tubes from the early 2010s and even On, a shoe brand that gained fame for its porous sole structure.
The DN8 is poised to be a major chess piece in the brand’s Air Max festivities in March 2025, although we’ll have to wait to see more colorways to give the silhouette a proper judgement.
