In our conversation with Nike product designers earlier this year regarding the Air Max Dn, we asked if the Dn Air unit would ever go full length. In typical Nike fashion, brand reps were being coy with their answers, but did suggest something was brewing. Now we bring you a first look at the Air Max DN8, the next expression of Dynamic Air coming to stores during Air Max Month 2025.
Revealed via official retailer images, the Air Max DN8 features the modern tuned Air chambers doubled in quantity to eight total (thus the DN8). A quick refresher: the rear two Dn Air chambers are pressurized higher (15 psi) than the front two (a much softer 5 psi). This same uneven psi will possibly be applied to the fore-foot units for even more comfortable ride.
An easy comparison of the Air Max DN8 upper can be drawn to the Air Max 96, a sneaker that has yet to retro in its original colorways (Nike came close with the Supreme collaborations in 2021). The upper features those signature tidal wave design touches that coincide with each Dn Air bubble in the sole. Other comparisons can be drawn to the Air Max 2002, although those did not feature the tubed layout seen in this 2025 DN8 model.
With the Air Max Dn hitting retail in dozens of colorways, it is expected that the DN8 will likely be available in a variety of colorways. A collaboration to introduce the model, similarly to how Supreme ushered in the Air Max Dn by way of Clint of Corteiz, could also be part of the silhouette’s launch plans.
For now, a release date of March 6th, 2025 is expected with an MSRP of $190.
