Laser etching appeared on Air Jordans around the same time Goldmember DVD sales were grabbing the last little crumbs of possible Austin Powers profits. To hear Mike Myers’ Dr. Evil tell it, Jordan Brand uses “these ‘lasers’ to penetrate the protective layer around the [shoe]”, but you can get your hands on their latest laser creation for far less than one million dollars. The Air Jordan Force 4 combines the AJIV upper with an Air Force 1 sole and reminds us of the lasered Dub Zeros that were among the first of a long line of hybrid kicks. These manage to be true to Mark Smith’s OG Laser AJIVs while offering a nod in the Uptown direction, and you can find them at select JB retailers including Michigan’s Premier, or you can find them now on eBay.
