A couple of years before Nike Boots hit the fever pitch at which they’re currently releasing, the Nike Air Rhyolite dropped in late 2007 with one of the more exaggerated sole designs on record. Interestingly enough, the Rhyolite has gotten a breath of fresh Air thanks to a cross with another design that’s aggressive in its own right. The Nike ACG Rhyolite SFB combines the Rhyolite’s upper with the Special Forces Boot‘s flexible Free sole and these two new colorways are among the most satisfying for the whole Holiday 2010 season. One pair comes completely decked out in chocolate brown, mostly leather with some rugged canvas around the ankles, while the other pair goes the suede route and combines a lighter brown with a tonal collar and green laces to make the decision of which pair you’ll buy a little tougher. Maybe the ‘choice’ is a red herring, though, since you can just as easily cop both of these at select Nike Sportswear accounts like Bodega.
