Steve Nash’s long-standing relationship with Nike has come to an end. After nearly a decade under the Nike wing wearing low-cut classics like the Zoom Jet Flight, Zoom Drive, and most recently the Zoom Go Low, the aging albeit consistent former two-time MVP will join the likes of Shaquille O’neal, Baron Davis, and Kevin Garnett as an endorsee of a Chinese footwear-brand. The sudden rise in basketball sneaker brands out East could lead to a larger migration of NBA players from American-based brands to those overseas, and with a player of Steve Nash’s caliber making the switch, other superstars could be on their way as well. Granted, Steve Nash’s signature shoe line with Nike never reached the popularity of its younger, flashier stars, but Nash will always be regarded as one of pioneers of the low-cut basketball shoe of this generation. What do you think of this switch? Let us know. via newfox/aaronknows.
