Some argue that Michael could have had seven NBA Championships (the seventh being in 1990). Others take it a step further and argue that Michael could have had nine straight, had he not retired before the 1993-94 season. There’s no doubt that Michael and the Bulls would have easily handled the Houston Rockets in June of ’94 and ’95, but we definitely missed out on some legendary Playoff series’; imagine Michael taking on the Knicks in ’94, or a full-season form MJ triumphing over the Magic in ’95. While Michael was busy counting base hits instead of buckets, Nike fashioned its star athlete with cleated versions of his signature shoes, like this Air Jordan X. Michael was set to wear these for his second season as a Birmingham Baron, but the MLB lockout and desire to return to basketball meant these never saw a baseball diamond. Surely a rare piece in the Air Jordan history, these Air Jordan X Cleats are available now from vivid.vintage on eBay.
