The Air Jordan X was Michael’s first comeback shoe, when he returned to the Chicago Bulls late in the ’94-’95 NBA Season. Not anticipating a return to the game, Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Jordan X as a walking tribute of sorts, detailing all of Michael’s magnanimous achievements on the outsole of the shoe, but as we know, that list of accomplishments more than doubled when MJ un-retired from the game. The ‘Shadow’ colorway of the Air Jordan X was worn by MJ when the Bulls took on the Charlotte Hornets in the first round of the 1995 Playoffs (some of you may remember that famous picture of the diminutive Muggsy Bogues ‘D’ing up Michael Jordan), but interestingly enough, this Promo Sample pair doesn’t feature Michael’s ’45’ stitched on the upper. These promo samples are also a size 13, so it is quite possible that these were meant for Jordan to wear, but that remains to be seen. Check out the extra images of this OG Air Jordan X and to see what the asking price is on this rare gem, take a look at the auction from d_g.o.a.t on eBay.
