New York Yankees ace CC Sabathia is a big guy who’s known for coming through in big situations, even with short rest. A substantial chapter in Sabathia’s growing hall of fame resume came in 2008 when he won eleven games after a July trade including a win on the final game of the season that secured Milwaukee’s first playoff birth in over a quarter-century. So when he was called upon to return to the mound after having thrown a mere 25 pitches in a rain-delayed game a couple days earlier, CC seemed if anything to have an advantage over Detroit’s hard throwing righthander, Justin Verlander. It didn’t turn out that way, but CC only threw five and a third Monday night and you gotta feel like it’s not out of the question that you could see him in the deciding Game 5, perhaps once again wearing the Air Jordan XI ‘Space Jam’ in cleat form. Are they his best Air Jordan cleats, or do you prefer the Concords he seems to save for home games?
