It’s been almost four months since the 2011 NBA Finals came to end, but some stories from that epic series have re-surfaced in a surprising, unexpected manner. Four months ago today, Mike Miller of the Miami Heat wore a special PE colorway of the Nike Zoom KD III – a patent leather colorway with red and black alternate color-blocking which matched the Miami Heat alternate uniforms. A decent yet rather forgettable sneaker in the midst of all the other Nike LeBron and Jordan Fly Wade PEs that were all the rage, the Nike Zoom KD III Mike Miller PE came and went and was soon to be forgotten. Out of nowhere, those PEs popped up for sale at Jimmy Jazz, a reputable online and brick-and-mortar retailer of Nikes; they’re almost entirely sold out, and at a generous sale price of $59.99, there’s no reason why these wouldn’t fly off the shelves – PE designation or not. Check out the extra shots of these funky KD IIIs as well as some in-game shots of Miller wearing them during the Finals and let us know what you think of the colorway.
