Recon relaunched last September with a refreshed, cleaner aesthetic and a Clarks Originals Wallabee collabo that was apparently just a prelude for bigger things to come. And since they already have legendary street artists Stash, Futura and Wane contributing to the Artist Series, what better way to launch the new Recon footwear lineup than with a Skytop-looking silhouette worn by a skater who resembles Tyler, the Creator? Two generations of the urban underground come together on the Recon Global Hi, the first model from this collection designed to offer “Madison Avenue-level” designs at “people prices” at points ranging from $70 to $120. This puts them squarely in Supra’s neighborhood, but will Recon’s footwear lineup get off to an even faster start than the Crown brand thanks to a distribution deal with Finish Line that commences May 1st?
