Nike Air Max Trainer ’91 – Black – University Red

Nike Air Max Trainer 91 Black University Red 01
When thinking of sneakers that released in 1991, one usually pinpoints two Swoosh classics in the Air Jordan 6 and the Nike Air Huarache, but the year was loaded with a number of other releases that are set to get the retro treatment 23 years later. Bo Jackson’s sneakers are as dominant in the retro category today as the man was on both the baseball diamond and football field in his prime. His Nike Air Max Trainer ’91 has readily donned a few colorways here and there this year (although 2013 served as a nice revamping year as the shoe returned in a Raiders and Eagles aesthetic to help usher in Nike’s merchandising rights). This Black/University Red look isn’t as loud as past views – think of the shoe randomly taking on a South Beach colorway – and the “Chicago”-esque treatment showcases the silhouette quite nicely.
