Bo Jackson’s turn in Tecmo Bowl for the Nintendo Entertainment System is easily the most dominant athlete character in video game history. Given his ability to rush for over a thousand yards in a single game and/or run out entire quarters’ worth of game clock, it seems fitting that Nike is spending a good amount of the fall season paying tribute to their original cross-training icon. The Nike Air Trainer I pictured above opts for Tecmo Bo in a Kansas City Royals jersey with a pixelated shoe designed in their palette. These should drop later this year, but you can grab samples in US mens size 9 today from eBay. Photos: verbdws
