Though there are certain models like the Nike Air Max 1 or Air Max 95 that never leave shelves, the Air Max catalog filled with beloved models that don’t receive the same evergreen treatment. The Nike Air 180 is a model that’s built up a true cult following, an apt descriptor with the impending “Cult Classics” drop of the Nike Air 180 “Ultramarine.”

With the annual celebration of Air Max Day, there’s been plenty of opportunities to revisit the beginnings of the Air Max line. However,  the Air Max 1 “Royal” release from this year tipped off a Nike initiative to spotlight product in its “OG” construction. Last released in 2018, the 2024 Nike Air 180 “Ultramarine” addresses a frequent concern amongst the model’s devotees, matching the big bubble of its 1991 debut. Consistent with the “unaltered” motif, the classic red, white and blue colorway remains, reviving the palette most frequently associated with the Air Max 180 as it potentially enters another mainline run.

The Nike Air 180 “Ultramarine” is set to drop via SNKRS on May 24th, retailing for $150. Head just below for an official photo gallery.

For another modified classic, take a look at the Air Jordan 4 “White Thunder” launching in August.
