Sneaker Thief Loses His Arm After Victim Runs Him Over With A Car

Sneaker Robbery Arm

Sneaker-related crime is all-too-common these days and we’ve heard the stories of guns being pulled out, people getting jumped, and all of that nonsense. Today, we’re learning of one of the most bizarre and graphic attempted sneaker robberies in recent memory, and it’s the victim that might be under more heat. Philip Pierre (39), the seller, posted an ad on Craigslist and agreed to meet up with prospective buyer Zachary Sam (17). The teen got into Pierre’s car near the corner of Avenue M and East 84th St. and pulled out a gun on the seller. He took the shoes (a pair of Jordan 8s) and fled the scene, but Pierre took the law into his own hands by making a quick U-turn in his vehicle and running over the fleeing thief with his Honda Pilot.

The collision pinned the thief against a fence, causing his arm the sever completely. He fled the scene, without his arm, onto a bus, but was pulled out by Pierre. Sam escaped once more and ran home, where he collapsed in front of his home. Pierre is currently in custody with attempted murder charges, while Sam is still recovering in the hospital; it is unknown if his arm was reattached.
