Spike Lee‘s vision helped Jordan Brand grow into the dominant basketball force it is today. His black and white spots featuring the dynamic duo of Mike and Mars are some of the most iconic pieces of advertisement the sneaker industry has ever seen, and Jordan Brand has honored the legendary director countless times. First there was the Jordan Spiz’ike and colorways referencing Do The Right Thing. Then last year, the Jordan Spike 40 burst onto the scene. The silhouette was relevant because it marked the first time that Spike would get his very own silhouette not made as a hybrid of sorts. The truly original pair featured a lifestyle approach complete with a unique icy outsole, patent leather accents and bold Nike Air branding on the heel. Now the Jordan Spike 40 Low is readying for a release. The model features an oversized Mars Blackmon 40 Acres and a Mule lace lock as well as the coveted Nike Air branding. What do you think of the look? Check out a detailed preview below and stay tuned for a release date right here on Sneaker News.
