Official images of the Jordan 4 “Raptors,” a shoe that was originally supposed to be for Drake before his move to adidas was all but a done deal have been released, and they unveil a surprise larger than Drizzy’s astronomical streaming numbers: his signature replaces the usual “Flight” branding on the tongue patch, confirming reports that the shoe was in fact originally created for the 6 God.
The sneaker features a colorway that nods to Toronto Raptors uniforms of the mid 90s-early 2000s: a black upper with red accents on the lacing system and tongue, and purple hits on the heel/aforementioned tongue patch. The shoe’s midsole arrives in a head-turning speckled purple, while the outsole offers black, purple, and red detailing to complete the look. As an added bonus, the shoes come with a custom black/red hangtag in place of the standard clear/orange version. There’s no official release date for these unique 4s yet, but look for them to drop on Nike.com soon, and for more rapper-inspired 4s, check out Travi$ Scott’s “Cactus Jack” iteration of the classic silhouette.
