Over the last few years, Jordan’s team basketball line has differentiated itself from the brand’s iconic heritage products with a combination of sleek and sporty styling and old-school influences on shoes like Russell Westbrook‘s Why Not Zer0.1s. That aesthetic is continued on the upcoming Ultra Fly 3, a recently-unveiled team silhouette featuring a clean and simple white/blue colorway. The new shoe boasts a white mesh upper with a white/blue leather forefoot sleeve featuring Jordan branding while the detailing acknowledges classic Jordan releases from the early 00’s, with nods to the Jordan 18, Jordan 19, and Super Freak all built in. However, the Ultra Fly 3 is not all tribute: a bold blue “23” hit on the lateral side of the heel wraps down to the shoe’s outsole for a look that’s entirely its own. The unique hybrid/heritage aesthetic is rounded off with blue 23 branding on the tongue and a simple white outsole. Release info for this new performance silhouette is not yet available, but expect it to arrive as part of Jordan’s summer or fall lineup in the coming months.
