The New Balance Tokyo Design Studio R-C1 Officially Releases Tomorrow

New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio was created in honor of the American brand’s long-standing popularity in Japan. The special sect focuses on forwarding NB’s boundaries and bringing their designs into the future — all while working with classic Japanese sensibilities like excellent craftsmanship and quality. Their most recent work? A brand-new silhouette entitled the RC-1. Arriving in both a cool traditional grey and a smoky black with white and blue accents, the shoes feature a modern-day mesh base while accents arrive via premium tonal cut-out suede overlays. The two-piece Abzorb midsole and classic plastic heel counter add further to the hybrid look, making for a design that has deep roots in New Balance heritage but still keeps an eye firmly fixed on the future. Both of these special New Balances will arrive to market tomorrow, October 6th, so grab a first look at the dynamic duo here, and head over to NB stockists like Sneakersnstuff to grab your pair tomorrow.
