The Nike Vapormax 2019 Dresses Up As Ironman

Nike is taking their futuristic Vapormax tech in a bold new direction next year with the dashingly different Vapormax 2019. Gone is the flexible Flyknit upper from past pairs, replaced instead by a translucent TPE — similar to what you’d see on other popular silhouettes like the React Element 87. In is new branding, a new shape, and bold new colors, the latest of which to surface is this Iron Man-style combination of gold and hot red. The shoe’s upper is dressed in a soft gold, with darker gold accents arriving on the taped seams. A red midfoot cage resides under the upper’s outer layer, and connects to the black loop lacing system. A large silver Swoosh adorns the midfoot, and special branding is present on both the heel and the tongue. The futuristic Vapormax cushioning unit is then dressed entirely in a bright crimson, providing a striking contrast with the upper’s gold tones. Of course these Vapormax are not an official Iron Man collab of any sort — but the similarities to the famous Avengers member’s suit are certainly noticeable.
