Sneaker News Multi-talented and multi-faceted entertainer/creative/producer/musician/etc. Donald Glover has joined forces with adidas Originals to launch Donald Glover Presents, which includes a capsule of footwear and a series of short films. Originally revealing the partnership last September, the one known as Childish Gambino has worked closely with the lifestyle brand to create tone-on-tone iterations of three classics – the Nizza, Continental 80, and the Lacombe. Each of the three models feature subtle imperfections such as frayed edges and wayward threads, all in an effort to exemplify the worn-in aesthetic and the stories behind the miles walked in a used pair of shoes. Additionally, the shoes featured deconstructed features, painted-on logos, and gold eye-stays, while the moth logo appears on the insoles and heels to officially stamp this collaboration.
Along with the shoes, Donald Glover Presents includes a series of short films produced by Royalty that also feature comedian Mo’Nique, a cameo from professional skateboarder Na-Kel Smith, and more.
All three styles will officially release on adidas.com beginning on April 26th.
