With other labels going heavy with the heroic likeness of comic book characters, Nike is subtly joining in on the fun with its own pairing of smooth shades in quite possibly a nod to super heroine Captain Marvel. Though surely not an official collaboration, this newest React Element 55 takes to the various saturated hues with ease as it swaps in and out between the deeper cool tone to overt neon accents. Synthetic uppers, arriving this time in a smooth weave, adds dimension through tonal variance with overlaid eyestays, swooshes, and tongues breaking up the kit in both black gloss and matte textures. Taped seams outline the heel counter, molded caps atop the back foxing, and white midsoles lean towards the lighter end of the spectrum in bright yellows and intersecting oranges.
