Nike Adds Textured Layers To The Air Max 97 “Racer Blue”

It’s been quite the eclectic ride for the Air Max 97 since its full-fledged reintroduction two years ago. We’ve seen it applied on different Air Max soles at the hands of Sean Wotherspoon, and we’ve witnessed Austrian purveyor of precious stones Swarovski douse the upper with a unique fabric that contains tens of thousands of crystals. It’s rather open to experimentation, and this upcoming Premium offering by the brand shows just how tolerant it can be. Using a clean platinum and racer blue color way, this newest release sees two distinct textures on the racing stripes – a tessellation of 3-D cubes and a an exaggerated dimpled look. You can expect this new style to hit Nike.com soon as they’ve already begun to pop up at shops in Asia.
