One of the most popular original colorways of the expansive Air Jordan catalog is poised for another remix in April of next year. 1990’s “Grape” on the Air Jordan 5 went off a tangent from the usual black, red, and white concoctions, bringing together teal and purple on a white leather base for Nike’s off-the-court Flight collections. Since then, it’s been one of the most referenced issues in Air Jordan history, with a reversed version called the “Black Grape” hitting stores just a few years ago and a “Fresh Prince” concept coming through for Will Smith’s 50th birthday. A third version fashioned in “alternate” uniform direction has been revealed as the Air Jordan 5 is set to be draped in purple grape nubuck uppers with a matching midsole; although not an actual photo, this closely depicts what could be in store next year. Will you complete your “Grape” set?
