With the top-tier youth basketball’s summer circuit in full swing, the Nike KD 12 is working overtime to provide the US’s brightest young hoopers with game-ready footwear, and after the KD 12 EYBL was recently revealed, we now have a look at a rainbow-colored pair that was created for the girls’ Nike Nationals. The upper’s bold color palette almost appears as if it was applied to the shoe via airbrush, with purples, yellows, greys and oranges seamlessly blending into one another across the entirety of the synthetic upper and Flyknit tongue. The amalgamation of tones is then held together both literally and figuratively by tie-dye style yellow/purple laces, and an EYBL badge appears on the heel. Down below, the normally-translucent midsole features a trifecta of sherbert-style blue, orange, and green tones. This is then combined with the icy blue outsole to hold a full-foot Zoom Air unit that’s placed directly under the foot to ensure optimal court feel. The girls Nike Nationals tournament will go down from July 10-12 in Chicago, so it’s possible that these Nike shoes may release around then, but they may also be a special PE created solely for the participants. Take a detailed look below, and stay tuned for the release on July 18th.
