Jordan Brand schools are surely not without their exclusive PEs, as customs and Beaverton crafted pairs tease the onlooking public with their almost unmatched exclusivity. With talks of UNC Jordan 4s debuting officially quite soon, it’s a surprise to see Dan Mullen of the University of Florida pull out in a pair of Gators-themed Air Jordan 11s. Finding balance between alluring lifestyle and unabashed school pride, the pair evokes connection to the school’s mascot who rests underneath the waters adjacent to the Reitz Union. Gator iconography arrives stitched onto the tongue in place of any Jumpman branding while patent-constructed mudguards hone in the more focal motif. Underneath its classic gloss, a reptilian patterning appears with various geometric segments contrasting in hits of black and lighter shades of blue. Bleeding orange and blue through its very veins, the pair is a fitting piece the coach himself, with none able to mistake as a “DM” embroiders onto the heel. Grab a detailed look at the pair right, though don’t get too excited as these will likely never see a retail release.
