Nike Is Ready To Bring Back The Shox BB4

Nike Is Ready To Bring Back The Shox BB4

After being teased for what seemed like months and rocked in multiple makeups on-court by the still-dangerous Vince Carter during the previous NBA season, Nike is finally set to bring back their Shox BB4 in a throwback black, silver, and purple colorway. Although the silhouette itself was first debuted in the 2000 Olympics by Carter — and permanently stamped into basketball fans’ collective memory thanks to his jaw-dropping slam dunk over 7’2 French center Frederic Weis — this classic style was later sported by VC during his Raptors days, and for good reason: it was a perfect match for their uniforms of the time. A bold, ridged silver leather and a smooth black leather split real estate on the upper, while the shoe’s signature performance feature arrives on the rear via a silver heel plate and a “lapas” purple four-plug Nike Shox cushioning system that’s sandwiched in between two purple Pebax plates. Shox branding is then stamped on the tongue and insole to finalize the look. You can expect these Shox to spring onto Nike.com August 9th $160 USD, so check out official images/a picture of Carter sporting the shoes directly below in the meantime.
