Detailed Look At The Travis Scott x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Cactus Jack”

Travis Scott is a master composer. The Houston rapper/producer knows just how to bend dissimilar elements to his will in the process of creating a great song, so he’s brought that same bricolage-style ethos onto his latest Nike Air Force 1 Low collaboration, one of the most anticipated releases of this fall/winter. Dubbed the “Cactus Jack,” these low-top Air Force 1s offer an intentionally rough-hewn patchwork aesthetic that looks as if it could have been crafted by his good friends at READYMADE. They’re also his most detailed pair of Nike shoes yet.

The upper presents a cobbled-together mix of shaggy suedes, rough canvases, and supple leathers, giving off a different aesthetic from each and every angle. Everything from tan to pink to navy blue to camo prints and more get a turn in the spotlight, while printed Cactus Jack detailing in abstract letters on the midfoot and heel let you know just whose shoes they are. The heel adds extra texture with a tan strap that’s secured by a gold button, and a two-piece sheath with a heavy-gauge gold zipper covers the tongue, using blue canvas on the medial side and black corduroy on the lateral side. A sail midsole with volt green stitching and gum outsole finalize the look.

Scott first teased the shoe sans sheath back in April and gave a lucky fan a pair during this year’s Made In America festival, but this is unquestionably the clearest look we’ve had at the design and all its intricate details yet. The man they call La Flame’s latest AF1 is sure to cause a wildfire of hype when it releases in full family sizes this November, so familiarize yourself with all the disparate-yet-delightful pieces below and stay tuned for more info as it’s available — past Scott x Nike/Jordan collaborations like the Air Jordan 1 have released via shock drop, so it’s not out of the question that these will receive a similar treatment.
