The Nike Kyrie Low 2 Receives A “Sunset” Colorway Inspired by the Air Max Plus

It’s NBA Media Day today, and in addition to Kyrie Irving getting the opportunity to show off his new Brooklyn Nets threads, a new pair of Kyrie Low 2s are accompanying him. From Nike SB Rayguns to Spongebob Squarepants, Irving’s footwear models have been known to pull inspiration from a wide range of places, and for this next rendition, the low-profile basketball sneaker inherits a familiar color scheme inspired by the classic Air Max Plus. Arriving with a full gradient mesh upper doused in vibrant “Sunset” hues, the hoops-ready silhouette is contrasted with stark black perforated midfoot overlays and punchy red Swoosh logos. In addition, this upcoming iteration further nods to the runner from the late 90s by flipping its customary “TN” heel badge for a specially-made “Kyrie Air” logo.
