As we inch closer to the warm weather days of Spring, a handful of sportswear brands have been starting to roll out sneaker variations that indulge in more seasonally-appropriate characteristics. Following shortly behind Nike’s recent unveiling of their Air Max 95 decorated with cherry blossom graphics, adidas is jumping in on the conversation to nod to the floral transitions through this forthcoming ZX8000 “Kirschblütenallee” Pack. Two colorways are to be included in this release with one being a pastel pink, and the other a grey-ish blue, both of which integrate literal cherry blossom graphics on the insoles. The “Hanami” pair is clearly symbolic of the actual Prunus petals, which are interpreted through soft pinks laid out across its entire constructions, deviating slightly through darker reds contrasting the stripes and perforated rear molds. In terms of the latter, the “Yozakura” takes a much more muted approach, with its main hue potentially reflecting the somewhat gloomy skies that cast over the trees. In addition, since two of the global destinations including Berlin and Tokyo are most famous for this aesthetic season, they are both alluded to via the German capital’s moniker spelled out on the dubraes, as well as the rear tabs that spell out “Hanami” in Japanese characters. See a closer look here, and find these dropping on adidas.com and at select retailers on March 13th.
