Unveiled shortly after the Nike Pegasus 37‘s launch in April, the Pegasus Trail 2 has recently surfaced in a muted, but notable “Medium Olive” arrangement.
Built to answer the growing demanding for off-road running, the silhouette boasts a similar shape to recent iterations within the Pegasus series. Uppers are predominantly constructed from breathable mesh, but panels towards the heel opt into a ripstop nylon-reminiscent build. Despite the difference in material, the familiar upper is clad in the aforementioned dull green, and complemented by “Medium Khaki” and “Black” accents. Underfoot, sole units indulge in the trail-runner’s most significant update: React foam cushioning reinforced with bicycle tire-like rubber outsoles. While no claims have been made that it compares to options from the ACG line, the aggressive tread is sure to deliver sufficient grip on less-than-ideal routes found outdoors.
