While not the first silhouette to come equipped with NIKE, Inc.’s eco-friendly Crater Foam material, the Nike Air Force 1 is experimenting atop the brand’s “Move To Zero” proposal. Case in point: a newly-surfaced women’s option split between mesh and leather construction.
As with the inaugural Space Hippie collection, the forthcoming take on Bruce Kilgore’s design is predominantly clad in a grey and blue color combination. “Pure Platinum” takes over the pair’s tongue and collar, as well as midfoot and heel panels; a light chambray-reminiscent hue animates the iconic sole unit. Leather profile swooshes and heel overlays indulge in an eye-catching “Barely Volt”, but they’re arguably overshadowed by the toe box and surrounding swath. A translucent panel reveals a multi-colored pattern across the forefoot; “Summit White” zigzag stitching slightly interrupts the semi-opaque arrangement. Although not an exact replica of the aforementioned pattern, speckling across the midsole and outsole deliver more notable accents to this Air Force 1 Low.
An official Nike.com release date is still unknown, but this women’s Air Force 1 Crater Foam is likely to arrive before 2020 ends. In the meantime, enjoy official images of the pair ahead.
