Late last year, adidas invited a number of craftsmen to re-contextualize the Campus 80 as part of the their on-going series of Makers Lab releases. Next to Helen Kirkum and Alex Nash, Shun Hirose — who is likely better recognized by his pen name RECOUTURE — introduced a bevy of color and subtle recreation to the classic silhouette. And now, Hirose’s design, which is arguably the most palatable relative to the aforementioned, is seeing the light of day once again thanks to a little help from Japanese institution mita Sneakers.
Aside from its choice of colors, the pair is near identical to the template that precedes it. Lateral panels extend past the welt unto the sole as it did prior, creating a navy suede skirt that covers a sizable portion of the yellow-treated sole. This fabrication extends back towards the heel counter, cut short as a strip of grey is stitched right atop. Light aqua blues then wrap the a medial side that would be ordinary if not for the extended eye stay and stitched down tongue. Elsewhere, even the insole is tweaked slightly as it bears a cork construction accented atop by various branded print.
Grab a detailed look at these here and expect a release to arrive overseas on August 29th.
In other news, a Yeezy 500 Lavender Sample was just revealed.
