While arguably not as lauded as several of its predecessors, the Air Jordan 12 boasts a special significance in Michael Jordan’s on-court footwear history. On October 17th, Jordan Brand is updating the 1996-silhouette with a detail with much importance in the Jumpman lineage: “Concord.”
Constructed from genuine suede and faux lizard-print, uppers on the forthcoming pair are clad in “Black.” Mudguards are interrupted by a chrome-finished midfoot accent in the iconic purple hue, just as the top two eyelets. Heel pull tabs and branding on the tongue also indulge in the titular hue, which is most famous for its appearance on the Jordan 11. Carbon fiber tooling visible underfoot deviate from the retro’s overwhelmingly dark color palette with a white and grey arrangement, the former hue also taking over “23” logos on the heel” and text on the tongue.
The Jordan 12 “Concord” is scheduled to arrive to Nike SNKRS in Men’s and Grade School sizing on October 23rd. In the meantime, enjoy a closer look at the pair here below.
