The Air Jordan II was a breakthrough sneaker during its time of release, due to the fact that its designers took a chance on its look and strayed from the norm of sneaker design in the late ’80s.  As a product of Nike, the sneaker contained no trademark Swoosh, which was somewhat absurd because it was the most notable visual aspect of the company on its products.  It only contained MJ’s signature “wings” logo.  This particular white colorway is a remake of the one worn by MJ throughout the ’86-’87 season, and more memorably during the 1987 NBA Slam Dunk Competition; the first of two contests won by Jordan.  The sneaker features a white leather base, with a nice black midsole and red accents.
