To kick off anew year of SB’s, designer James Keoni Arizumi created a the Hawaiis which were inspired by the volcanoes of islands.  These dunks feature nice shades of red and orange mixed with black to represent volcanic rock while using different materials like patent leather and nubuck.  Note that the outsole is made of clear rubber.  The insole contains a saying from Lu Pele, Goddess of the Volcano, reading “Ka Wahine Ai Honua” which means “The woman who devoured the land.”  The shoe is finished with a Hawaiian flag stitched on the heel replacing the usual Nike lettering.
