Nike Air Flight 89

The Nike Air Flight ’89 is a performance basketball model first released in 1989. It and Jordan 4 are frequently cited as sister models, sharing a release year and developed under the then-unified Nike Basketball/Jordan team. Even to the untrained eye, they share a ton of the same technology and aesthetic principles in their design; the nearly identical sole units are a dead giveaways. Returning to shelves in 2022, the new run for the model through 2024 has seen it equally venture towards brand new editions and references to archival Nike Basketball colorways. Below you’ll find our latest coverage of the Nike Air Flight ’89, including release dates, new colorways and official images.
