Nike KD 17
The Nike KD 17 is Kevin Durant’s seventeenth signature shoe with Nike, first released to the public on May 17th in the “Sunset” colorway. The shoe’s design is heavily inspired by the Air Max Plus, borrowing the wavy TPU siding synonymous with the Tn. It features a lower-cut design — a requirement by Durant himself — and no strap.
A first look at the shoes was revealed in February 2024 before KD himself debuted the shoes on-court. He sported a “Triple Black” colorway in the Suns’ first playoff game, Chet Holmgren and Pascal Siakam following suit in their squads’ own postseason debuts.
The KD 17 “Producer Pack” brought the first high-heat drop for the 17, spotlighting collaborations with three hip-hop titans: the Alchemist, Metro Boomin & Bink! A blue-on-white “Penny” edition, a set of “Team Bank” colorways, the KD 17 “USA” and KD 17 “Easy Money Sniper” make up the latest general release editions.
