Nike Kobe 8

The Nike Kobe 8 is the eighth signature sneaker for Kobe Bryant produced by Nike and designed by Eric Avar. In 2023, the silhouette returned in Protro form, iterating on the original design with modern performance technology developed in its time off the shelves. The model officially re-launched in August with the all-white “Halo” colorway.

In 2024, the Kobe 8 Protro will be one of Nike Basketball’s most important releases. On the anniversary of Bryant’s final game, the “Venice Beach” colorway from the model’s OG run returned alongside the Kobe 4 “Philly” and Kobe 6 “Italian Camo.” August brought the continuation of the sentimental “Mambacita” series dedicated to Gianna Bryant.

As for upcoming releases, a set of “Team Bank” colorways that simplify the look of the Kobe 8 are dropping on September 6th, each retailing for $180 and arriving in men’s & GS sizing. Looking ahead to next year, plans for the model are highlighted by the return of the Kobe 8 “What The” for Summer 2025.
