Nike Kobe 9 (Release Dates & Photos)
The Nike Kobe 9 is the ninth model Kobe Bryant’s signature line with the Swoosh, first released with the “Masterpiece” colorway in February of 2014. While models from the 5 on had all capitalized on similar low cuts, the 9 was revolutionary for flipping that on its head, introducing a towering tongue and foot entrance.
2018 introduced the Protro program, an initiative that re-introduced a number of archival Kobe models to the public, re-energized with the 2021 resumption of Nike Kobe releases.
At long last, Protro will bring back the Kobe 9 beginning with the “Halo” colorway on August 23rd. The Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro will return to shelves in the same all-white execution on September 19th. Rounding out a heavy slate of resurgent Kobe 9 releases, the “Christmas” edition of the High and the “Gift of Mamba” of the EM (Engineered Mesh rather than Flyknit) are expected for later in 2024. Even further down the road into next year, the Kobe 9 “What The” is slated to keep the momentum up through Summer 2025.
