Many of you are probably hyped about the upcoming Retro releases of the Air Jordan XI Cool Grey, Air Jordan VII Olympic, and the Air Jordan XIII Flint, but let’s not forget this original colorway that released before any of those three. Here’s another look at the Air Jordan IX (9) ‘Charcoal’, an original colorway and first-ever retro of the Air Jordan IX. The upper features a mix of black and dark charcoal nubuck with an all-black midsole and true-red trim. These outrank the CG XI, Flint XIII, and Olympic VII in terms of seniority as well as being underrated, but this upcoming September release should change the latter. yea, the grey should have been black or atleast darker. it just doesnt look as nice as the other pictures i've seen

another jb retro butchered, i thought they woulda stopped replacing the original leather retro with cheap ass suade after those black and red 12's last november, guess i was wrong, lets see what they'll fuck up next, no worries tho assholes are still gonna waste their money on these,. **cool greys this december!!**

Ldizzy u got a point, but charcoal ix’s never came with leather. Its always been a suede upper, since day one. Still, not really my cup of tea. Dont know about gettin these yet.

i dont think the shiny midsole goes well with the nubuck/suede on the upper. it works with the citruuses and the black/reds becuz they have leather, but it looks weird to me on these. if it was a little more dull, id like it more.

And you think the Cool Greys quality will be any better? Lmao. Don't you remember how sh**ty the Space Jams were made. I literally had to go through three pairs at Finishline till I found one that was decent. The last well made release was the True Blue 3's from last year. They actually used some decent leather. So by your words were all assholes, you included!!!

He's probably too young to know that. I agree the materials are cheaper these days, but you either deal with it or you don't, so what's the sense in complaining. Look at all the bad releases in the past. If they sell or they don't, JB will keep pumping them out.

^^LOL, but u right, those true blue 3's are awesome. maybe its cause they only released overseas and they get the good quality shit? who knows these days with JB. i will be grabbing these IX's though without a doubt unless they are just that bad in person.

Its ok, definitely one of the better IX releases this year. I wanna see some 5s or4s, tell me when they release those, tired of 9s and 6s even though i bought a pair each.

The IX are one of my Favorite Jordan's, but Ima have to pass on these, the look good only in certain light and in online pics, the black does look ashy and dirty it should be like jet black or something, I would play ball in these shoes, thats it

The Olympic VII's came out in 1992 for the Barcelona Olympics. Jordan wore them on the Dream Team. That was 2 full years before these came out in 1994. How can you make such an elementary mistake?
