The Infrared Pack was an immediate sellout and no-brainer for our 2010 Top 30 list, but there’s another shade that’s even more intimately connected to the Air Jordan VI. Carmine is a color you just don’t see very often, an intense shade that makes the AJVI the dominant DNA in the new Air Jordan 6-17-23. A hybrid that mashes together a couple of kicks released together as part of the Collezione Pack in 2008, these are basically an AJVI upper with the XVII’s eyelets, tongue and sole. They Don't Look As Bad As The First Pics Anymore But They Are Still A Hideous Combination. Instead They Should Release The Maroon 6s , Sept Blue 6s , & Maybe Even The Chery 17s . Instead Of Wasting Time & Money Producing These.

isn't it odd that this is the third Mash-up/Hybrid shoe using the 17? you had the 16.5, the 1-6-1-7, and now this 6-17-23. Why don't they just retro the 17 and be done with it? Is JB afraid to retro any of the later numbered Jordans? The highest retro to get a full retro treatment is the 14. Just wondering.

Do they come with lace locks? If so which ones the #6 or #17 locks. I would prefer the #17 locks they were unique.

I'm gonna love it when these come out. People are gonna be looking at the unusual shoe, and next thing you know, this shoe will be as popular as the Spizikes. The Spizikes were once a very hated shoe… Once they brought out those last 5 or 6 colorways, niggas were all over the Spizikes.

There is something to be adored about these shoes; from an artistic stance I think the shoes are incredible and has a rightful etching in the Air Jordan Epoch, that has dominated the sneakerhead landscape for the past two decades. The shoes are bold, edgy, has a great deal of personality, and the design dares the individual to try them on. My fashion perspective comes from a clean, crisp conservative lens, and these can easily be classical with a pair of yummy indigo rinsed jeans, black or white t-shirt, a black leather bomber jacket and I will walk heavy on the concrete sidewalks of the BX, NYC. Unique personalities deserve a shoe that is unique in design!

Honestly i hope these never sell in stores, parents notice how ugly these are, dont buy em for they kids. Then they put em at outlets. Man they had an alright shoe, but the white and black don't mix with this shoe. They should've went all Black and Carmine, and all White and Carmine and made them a pack. Then stick a 5 tongue on instead of 17 tongue. Also there's too much goin on with the sole of the shoe, maybe take that fat chunk of shiny black plastic off and it'd be straight. Or throw some infrared on that shit, I mean if you want to draw attention to the sole, no better way of having your shoes scream than throwing infrared on it.

The 6-17-23 are a mess. I'm a just copp the carmine 6 package with the black 17's and call it a day. & I strongly agree with those who mentioned that JB should just hurry up and retro the 17's again! I would lovee to see the copper 17's or a bred pair re-release.
