Nike Sportswear has been going ham with crinkled patent, opening it up as a material option for the Air Max 1 on Nike iD and recently using it on the gallant Nike Dunk High, giving the shoe an appearance of being carved out of a prized stone. Here’s a look at the obsidian colorway of the Dunk High; the crinkled patent again gives the shoe a luxurious look, accentuated by the fully translucent midsole/outsole, which a makes way for a neat wood-grain graphic on the underside of the foot. The insoles also feature a neat ‘NIKE’ graphic as well. Some may have preferred smooth patent leather, but give credit where it’s due because these are absolutely stunning!
