Everything You Need To Know About The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0”

The unprecedented follow-up to the 2018 release is coming soon.

Everything You Need To Know About The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0”

The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” is a special edition release expected to launch on May 17th, 2025. Considered to be a sequel to the super-limited Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” that dropped back in 2018, this newer edition features some significant updates and design touches that continue to shine a light on Korea culture and history.

The first Air Jordan 3 “Seoul” dropped in 2018 as part of Jordan Brand’s 30th Anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan 3. Created by Dan Sunwoo (who now serves as GM of Nike’s Kobe Brand), the design coincided with the 30th Anniversary of the Olympic Games that were held in Seoul in 1988. Up until this release, a country flag had never been displayed so outwardly on an Air Jordan Retro. This detail alone made it highly coveted among South Koreans and Jordan collectors alike; pairs have never dipped below $1,000 on the secondary market. The same design was re-released in 2020 in limited quantity for women only.

News of the Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” first surfaced back in March. Not long after the shoes leaked, J-Hope of BTS fame was the first to reveal the shoes, weAring them courtside at an LA Lakers game. Like the first pair, the Seoul 2.0 Jordans feature the South Korean flag on the left tongue and Nike Air on the heel. New details consist of the traditional fabric on the ankle lining, the pre-aged yellowing on the mid-sole and upper edges, and korean words embroidered behind the tongue.

Retailer sesinko describes it best: “A new feature is the text on the inner tongue: 꿈 (GGUEM) and 정 (JEONG). “Gguem” means dream in Korean. It represents aspirations, hopes and the pursuit of something greater. More than just what you see when you sleep, “Gguem” symbolizes the visions and goals that drive you forward. “Jeong” is a uniquely Korean concept. It describes a deep emotional connection, a sense of affection and attachment, and the bond between people, places or even objects. “Jeong” goes beyond friendship or love—it’s a lasting warmth that builds over time.”

The MSRP is set at $200, which is a surprisingly low number considering the sheer amount of modifications and the fact that the Nike Air on the heel is typically reserved for the higher-tier product.

Where To Buy The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0”

The Air Jordan 3 “Seoul 2.0” is currently scheduled to launch on SNKRS and global retailers on May 17th, 2025. Sesinko has been tapped as the exclusive early release partner in the U.S.; they’ll be dropping the shoes on May 10th during an in-store activation. Be sure to enter raffles where possible.
