It’s become more a seasonal tradition in the boroughs for decades, and the Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan is the perfect example of the urban summer, which is why Nike Basketball has set up ‘Boulevard Ice’ – a vendor offering the famous ice-treats from The Lemon King of Corona in the front, an interactive Nike Basketball experience in the back. Walk through the metal refrigerator door and you’ll step into a realm engulfed with NYC basketball culture, exemplified by the territorial and competitive nature of the boroughs and decorated with NYC iconic imagery and props like the metal fences seen at local playgrounds.
Nike Basketball Boulevard Ice is home to the Team Nike experience, which features customizable gear like Nike Elite Shorts and t-shirts. Throughout the summer, Nike Basketball ‘Boulevard Ice’ will release exclusive products like special Hyperdunk 2011s, Hyperfuse 2011s, and Air Force 1s. You can find Nike Basketball ‘Boulevard Ice’ at 2490 Frederick Douglass Blvd. – the same location as last year’s Nike Basketball ‘The Ball Room’ pop-up shop.
