We’re pretty sure that when the Van Doren brothers founded their now ubiquitous footwear label Vans, they didn’t expect that anyone would eventually be hiking in the shoes. Then again, they probably couldn’t have predicted that the imprint would go on to be one of the strongest and longest standing brands on the market. This latest “Hiker Pack” from them includes the Vans Half Cab and the Vans Authentic. They’re still fine for skating, as the hiker designation here mostly comes from the materials they borrow from more traiditional outwear boots and the like.
