The Space Jam 11 release finally happened over the weekend, and while there were plenty of pairs to go around, the Lower East Side’s own Extra Butter had something rather special planned to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Space Jam. The boutique teamed up with retro jersey and apparel collector Mr. Throwback for a Air Jordan 11 Space Jam themed pop-up shop made to look like a bedroom belonging to a Space Jam-obsessed kid from the 1990s.
The bright Concord painted walls featured a bed with an original Space Jam sheet set, throwback Tune Squad and Monstars Champion jerseys, and a number of original Space Jam memorabilia peices to round out the unique space. There was even a cardboard cutout from the film’s original run directly from Blockbuster. Those of you who couldn’t make it out to Extra Butter to see the exhibit can check out a full recap below.
