Nike Ja 3
The Nike Ja 3 is the third signature shoe for Nike Basketball athlete Ja Morant. The shoes were officially unveiled in April 2025; Morant wore the shoes during the First Round match-up between the Grizzlies and the Thunder.
Featuring a radical new design centered around the “Scratch” concept, the Nike Ja 3 quickly became one of the more exciting new offerings to come out of Nike Basketball in years. Inspired by the claw marks of a grizzly bear, the Nike Ja 3 features a bold overlay design, a reverse Swoosh logo placed vertically, and ZoomX foam cushioning.
Beyond simply lighting up social media feeds, the anticipation for Morant’s third signature translated into commercial success; many of the debut looks (the “NY v. NY,” the “Light Show,” the “Max Volume”) marked immediate sell-outs. Further, the shoe has become one of the most worn in NBA action, laced up by more than a dozen pros including Mikal Bridges, who almost exclusively reaches for Morant’s model.
In an unconventional move, Ja himself has kept interest piqued by “leaking” upcoming colorways himself, often teasing product that wouldn’t come to shelves for a number of months. While many of the silhouette’s most explosive looks have already hit the market, the Nike Ja 3 has proven to have a genuine Midas Touch, leaving plenty to still look forward to in 2026. Among others, the Kool-Aid, Jurassic Park, “Uncle Phil,” and “At Dawn” are ones we’ve got an eye on.
