NIKE ZOOM KD IV The Nike Zoom KD IV is Kevin Durant’s fourth signature shoe and was designed by Leo Chang. It debuted in December of 2011 and features Adaptive Fit technology and Zoom Air cushioning. The Nike Zoom KD IV retailed for $95 and some of the most popular colorways were the ‘Year of the Dragon’, ‘Galaxy’, ‘Nerf’, and ‘Weatherman’.

At the end of the 2012 NBA Season, Kevin Durant joined one of the most exclusive clubs in the league’s history – the NBA Scoring Title ‘Three-peat’ crew. Nike is celebrating this landmark of KD’s career with the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Scoring Title’ PE, which features an ‘Entourage’-like Yellow/Blue colorway with a unique graphic on the upper and interior lining. The tongue features a triplet basketball/hoop logo with his scoring averages of the past three seasons with a nautical compass on the heel (perhaps a tribute to his start in Seattle). We’ll update you with more info regarding the design as well as possible release information (remember, the KD II and KD III ‘Scoring Title’ editions released) so stick with Sneaker News for more updates because you know we’ll be the first to serve it up! Kevin Durant and his Oklahoma City Thunder have enjoyed extended breaks after both of their 2012 NBA Playoff series wins, and now that the Eastern Conference is down to a single game to determine its finalists, OKC is about to go into battle against what might be the most well-oiled basketball machine we’ve seen over the past decade. This military-leaning Nike Zoom KD IV fits that theme though they’re far more likely to show up at your local park ‘battlegrounds’ than Sunday’s West Finals Game 1. The Rogue Green-based colorway offers tremendous versatility even with Total Orange Swooshes in tow, and you can find them available now at select Nike Basketball retailers like Finish Line or get yours now on eBay.

The growing legacy of Kevin Durant continues this postseason as he look forward to the Western Conference Finals after defeating Kobe Bryant and Los Angeles Lakers in quick and easy fashion. It will have been six full days between his last outing and the upcoming Game 1 of the WCF Series against the Spurs, but falling right in between those two important dates is a third that holds a heavy weight in terms of importance – the release of the Nike N7 Zoom KD IV. The profits from this release will go toward supporting the Nike N7 campaign, which is rather significant to Durant as Oklahoma City is home to one of the larger Native American populations in the United States. You can support the cause tomorrow when both ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ colorways of the Zoom KD IV ‘N7′ becomes available on Nikestore as well as the select Nike locations listed HERE.

This weekend was huge in shaking out the NBA Playoff picture and featured dominant performances from some of the game’s elite. Key among those was Kevin Durant’s effort in Los Angeles on Saturday night, which has the Thunder on the verge of the Western Conference Finals after another comeback victory over Kobe’s cracking Lakers. Durant noted in his ‘Sunday Conversation’ with ESPN that the road to coldheartedly crushing and staring down the crowd at Staples Center was one he nearly quit in the face of tremendous adversity, and it’s that kind of passion and tenacity that defines this colorway of his fourth Nike Basketball signature. The Nike N7 Zoom KD IV is a symbol to native peoples in Oklahoma and all across North America that Nike is committed to putting their best products behind this initiative designed to promote active sporting lifestyles in this continent’s aboriginal communities. Kevin Durant and the Thunder had to wait around for a few days for their Second Round opponents to be confirmed, but did it really matter to them? KD’s on a mission to win his first NBA Title, and he’s going to have to get through five-time champ Kobe Bryant to do that, but nobody needs to tell Durant to get motivated. If anything, he should rock the military-styled Rogue Green KD IVs because he’s got the mentality of war right now, but he’s like going to stick with Home and Away PEs for the series. Luckily for us, these have finally begun to hit retailers in the U.S., so look out for ‘em at select spots like Mr. R Sports after you take a look at the gallery below.

The Nike Basketball Elite Series price-tags have some sneakerheads looking exclusively at the Zoom KD IV for summer-time basketball sneaker pick-ups. Priced at less than half that of the lowest-priced Elite Series member (the Kobe VII and Hyperdunk, each priced at $200), the Nike Zoom KD IV will continue to be a hot commodity, especially with some high-energy releases still on the way (the Aunt Pearls and the N7 joints). For Games 1 and 2, Kevin Durant wore a clean and simple White/Blue colorway of the Zoom KD IV, and followed that up with a Black/Orange PE for Game 3, which went down in Dallas. The OKC Thunder are running on all cylinders, but with a Second Round meeting with the San Antonio Spurs wipe out Durant’s dreams of an NBA Title? Check out KD’s new Player Exclusives below and stick with Sneaker News for more NBA Feet coverage throughout the Playoffs. Photos: yahoo

The Nike N7 Zoom KD IV was starting to feel like something of a PE once Kevin Durant broke them out after word of a sudden and substantial release date delay, but now comes word that they’ll actually be arriving a bit earlier than we expected. From April 1st to June 12th to now May 25th for the N7 KDIVs, both ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ editions designed in the signature N7 colorway and promoting Nike’s campaign to support athletics in North American aboriginal communities. One can’t help but wonder if we might see the black pair as OKC heads to Dallas for Game 3 of their opening round series, but we know with greater certainty when we’ll be able to get them, so stay tuned for more updates regarding online availability (remember, the Aunt Pearl won’t hit Nikestore).

Nike Basketball just took performance basketball sneakers to the next level when the Elite Series hit store shelves on Saturday, its already elevated price tags pushing even higher on the resale market. That means that the LeBron 9 P.S. Elite that came to market with a $250MSRP is now well over three bills on the ‘Bay, a figure that’s over three times as much as the cost of your average Kevin Durant signature. And though there’s no denying KD’s superstar status, hurdles like this have kept a possible Nike Zoom KD IV Elite at bay to this point. Beyond the pricing concerns with upgraded materials, Durant’s unique foot shape in conjunction with a lighter and thinner upper has resulted in a few samples being sent back as designer Leo Chang looks for the perfect combination of postseason tech for the three-time reigning NBA scoring champion. Click through to get a closer look at what could have been with the Zoom KD 4 Elite and stick with Sneaker News to see if KD will ever have an Elite edition of his sig make it to retail in the future.
