Mayor could not leave a great session of designing some fresh to death Air Force 1s at the one-of-a-kind Bespoke studio without adding a denim touch to his favorite sneaker.
Starting with the obvious, for the third time in a row, we see a clear and icy mid-sole…maybe Mayor is trying to send a message to Nike Sportswear because an icy mid-sole would be great to see on some general releases. This time, however, the stitching remains white and does not match the solid yellow out-sole.
On the upper denim is used to construct everything but the Swoosh, which is made up of a yellow cloth material. The denim on this AF1, however, doesn’t look like it typically does when applied to most sneakers and that is because the denim seen here is reverse denim (which is basically what your jeans would look like if you turned them inside out). Regular denim is used on the heel tab and surrounds the “Nike Air”, which is embroidered in yellow to match the out-sole, Swoosh and Laces. Giving the shoe classic look is light brown, premium leather inner, which allows this AF1 to really bring a fresh and novel style to the table.
Unfortunately, unlike the materials in the previous two Air Force 1s designed this renowned AF1 collector, reverse denim won’t be making it onto any more shoes as it is not an available option at the Bespoke studio. Don’t be discouraged because regular denim is always available to apply to your favorite kicks at the bespoke studios and you shouldn’t have too much trouble coming up with something dope…even without reverse denim.
