Nike SB is releasing the perfect Dunk Low for Southern California skaters. New images posted to Instagram by @sbheadsbe reveal a sample inspired by the region’s iconic Verdugo Mountains, outfitted with colors and detailing tied to the natural landmark.
The design begins with a “Pistachio Frost” suede base that the source describes as “crazy good” in quality, nodding to the color of the Verdugo Mountains’ terrain. The inner tongue tags make the design theme clear, with the left featuring a map and the right featuring a bike graphic alongside retro typography. These also come with an insole graphic of a man biking down a mountain, with radio towers appearing up top. The Swoosh is comprised of “Wolf Grey” leather with black outlining, while orange heel branding adds some vibrancy. Underfoot, a “Gum Yellow” midsole and black outsole round out the delivery.
It remains to be seen if this is a one-off release or part of a budding series of SB Dunks inspired by mountain ranges/natural landmarks akin to the skate banner’s “City Of …” line from 2024. In any case, these are sure to hop on the radar of SoCal skaters with a design inspired by an iconic local touchpoint.
No release date has been set at the time of this writing, but the SB Dunk Low “Verdugo Mountains” looks to arrive during the Fall 2025 shopping season. Keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for further updates.
